Earlier this week, in a press release issued by the Ford Motor Company, the automaker announced a prestigious award for one of its engines. WardsAuto recently recognized Ford's 2.3-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder, specially designed to motivate the 2017 Ford Focus RS, with a 2017 Ward's 10 Best Engines award.

Inside the Focus RS, the power plant churns out 350 horsepower and 350 pound-feet of torque using 93-octane fuel. Relative to its size, the engine is able to deliver an impressive amount of power thanks to a turbocharger with a larger compressor wheel. This delivers more airflow throughout the rev range, and helps the RS sprint to 60 mph from a standstill in a quick 4.7 seconds.

If you would like to learn more about the exciting Focus RS and its award-winning engine, feel free to contact Access Ford of Corpus Christi, or come visit us in person for a test drive. We'll be happy to show you around.
