The new 325-horsepower, all-wheel drive version of the Ford Fusion will be hitting dealerships the summer of 2016, and is called the Fusion Sport. Aside from its desirable stats, the Fusion Sport has one feature in particular that will make it the envy of all other sports car drivers.

The 2017 Fusion Sport is one of the first vehicles to offer pothole-avoidance technology like this. Functioning on the same principals as automatic emergency braking, the pothole avoidance system will scan the three dimensional surface of the road, and automatically elevate a wheel to avoid dropping it into a damage-causing crack in the pavement.
This ability is particularly money-saving for a sports car, which Ford anticipates will be driven with more spirit than a typical sedan. The faster a wheel crashes into a crevasse, the more likely it is to cause damage.
